Fish Deshka River, Willow

What: One of the premier rivers for salmon fishing in the Mat-Su area. From kings to reds, the river offers plenty of great catches.

When to go: Accessed in the summer months between May and October. Keep a watch on fish counts to time your trip appropriately.

How to get there: There are many spots to access the river depending on whether you’re rafting/boating the river or fishing from the beach. Houston, Alaska is typically has good spots to access the river from.
