Tour College Fjord & Esther Passage, Whittier
What: One of the most scenic fjord valleys in the state, worth accessing via boat tour from Whittier.
When to go: Ideally accessed during the peak summer months between June and September.

Tips:
- The most affordable way to do this is by taking the 26 glacier cruise with Phillips Cruises. The tour will take you through the stunning Esther Passage, and then all the way up College Fjord. You’ll see many hanging glaciers along the way, with the highlight at the end of the valley at Harvard Glacier. These glaciers are all very active and there’s a good chance you’ll see at least some calving even if just minor.
- The weather in Prince William Sound can often be very windy & rainy – it’s worth doing this on a clear forecast day.
