ATV Bird Valley, Anchorage

What: Bird valley is a great area with 20+ miles of trails to enjoy and is just a short 30 minute drive from Anchorage.

When to go: The trail is best accessed via ATV in the summer (May-Sep) and snowmachine in the winter (Nov-Mar).

Tips:

• There are mutliple routes to explore – within the first 5 minutes you will come to a fork to go right or left. Each of these trails will go super far back into the valley and will offer ways to connect back to each other. The left fork also provides an option to go explore the bird valley falls which is beautiful to see in summer or winter. You will also see a map at this fork which provides a good opportunity to plan out your route. Alternatively, you can download teh bird valley trail map online.
• Be careful to stay on ATV only trails since some of the trails are hiking only.
