Hike Byron Glacier, Portage
What: A valley hike in the Portage area taking you back to the foot of the Byron Glacier. 3.2 miles out and back with 777 elevation gain, rated as Easy.
When: This is a nice year round trail that can be accessed via summer or winter. The full hike can be done in 1.5 to 2 hours.

Tips:
- The trail is essentially flat and can be done by nearly anyone with any physical ability
- While the glacier has receded quite a bit, it often forms interesting ice caves to explore; this caves can be extremely dangerous and should only be entered in peak winter months (Jan-Mar) and at your own risk; please do not enter these in the summer time
- This is a nice trail to pair with the Portage Glacier boat tour which is also easily accessible for any physical ability
