What: An amazing yearly display of ice carving skill hosted in Fairbanks during the spring season.

When to go: Festival is held yearly in February & March.

Tips:

• It’s best to go in the middle of the competition window – too early and the carvers are still building their sculptures; too late and some of the sculptures start melting after the competition awards are already done.
• It’s worth checking this out in both day and night time – it’s especially beautiful at night with various lights shining on the sculptures.
