Ski Kincaid, Anchorage

What: An incredible system of cross country ski trails in Anchorage for classic and skate skiers alike.

When to go: Ideally accessed in the peak winter snow months between Jan and April.

How to get there: There are many places to access the trail from various parking lots in Kincaid park. One of the best places to start is the Kincaid Chalet especially since there is a large open area to practice.

Tips:

• There are a few beginner loops such as Mize Loop. Some of the loops are also lit up for skiing well into the evening hours during winter.
• It’s worth checking the status of groomed trails via various online search tools; this can help make sure you’re enjoying the best trail conditions.
