Tips:

  • As you drive to the top, you’ll typically see several peaks that can be accessed from the road. Some of the popular ones are Microdot, Government Peak, and Hatch Peak. Find one of the 2 to 3 parking lots along the road, and find a skin track to follow up.
  • Depending on the time of year, the snow conditions can vary quite a bit. For example, late in the season, the north facing peaks are often the best for avoiding crust since they’re protected from the sun. Alternatively, west facing and south peaks can be great for corn skiing late in the season.
  • Snowmachines are also allowed in the area – this can also offer the opportunity for some sled assisted skiing.
